United We Dream Gets Major Investment from Mackenzie Scott

WDN Action grantee partner United We Dream, the nation’s largest network led by undocumented immigrant youth, received a major investment of ten million dollars from philanthropist Mackenzie Scott to support the vision of growing the organizing power of multiracial movement led by young people.

We’re excited about what this means for United We Dream’s continued growth and impact. On the heels of an election where young people of color were a critical engine of resistance, immigrant youth around the country could soon face a conservative Supreme Court considering an end to the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Program (DACA) and a GOP-led House eager to make targeting immigrants a central tenet of their agenda. This investment will allow UWD to continue to focus on investing in leadership development, power building and innovation.

UWD Executive Director Greisa Martinez Rosas acknowledged WDN Action’s support over the years. “We would not be here without your enduring support. This is just the beginning. Can't wait to keep building together.”
